February 2024

Calling all aspiring athletes, weekend warriors, first-timers (and old-timers) alike! The BRITS is back again this year after great success on Cairngorm in 2023. Once again, the event will take place on home turf, but this time, it's heading south. This celebration of the British freestyle scene will feature a full day of inclusive competition in slopestyle and banked slalom.

Join the fun at SnowDome, Tamworth on Saturday 11th May for the biggest event on the British Freestyle calendar and epic annual gathering that is, The BRITS, presented by Ellis Brigham Mountain Sports and The Snowboard Asylum .100’s of snowboarders and freeskiers including established Pro’s, aspiring Amateurs and first-time competitors are expected to battle for the British Slopestyle Championships and British Banked Slalom Championships Titles.

Whilst The BRITS represents the highest level of competition in the UK, it is also staunchly rooted by its inclusive, open-door policy. In addition to British Championship titles, there will be additional awards and recognitions including ‘Fastest Family’ (best combined parent and child time) and ‘Swiftest Switch’ (riding backwards) titles in Banked Slalom, and an additional relaxed Slopestyle Jam Session. The day will start with Banked Slalom, followed by Slopestyle. During the intermission (as SnowDome park shapers work their magic), there will be a ‘Celebrity Juice’ style Quiz Show hosted by none other than Winter Olympic commentator and local ne’er-do-well, Tim Warwood.

The day will end with an open session out on the slope for those with the stamina and/or a well-earnt beverage and gross exaggeration in and around the Aspen’s Bar & Kitchen. Slope & Competition Pass’ Booking going live on March 11th via SnowDome Tamworth.
