The Great British Ski Test (GBST) for snowsports end consumers wrapped up its third successful year in March in Pila, Italy. With a proven concept and growing momentum, the team is now inviting all UK snowsport retailers to be part of this event. This year, over 70 enthusiastic skiers took part, providing incredible feedback and helping build a buzz that’s only getting louder. For 2026, the goal is even bigger: 150+ testers, more energy, and wider reach.
The trip aims to be more than just a ski test. It’s a celebration of British skiing, powered by UK brands and retailers, giving consumers direct access to the latest gear and expert advice. Now’s the time for retailers to get involved and help to drive the future of skiing in the UK.

How to get involved
- Agree to be an affiliated retailer (it's free!)
- GBST put your logo on the website and leaflets
- You promote as much or as little as you like (Minimum requirement is to have the leaflets in store)
- £50 earned for each consumer that books with your retailer name as their ‘code’ (No date limit)
- £50 ‘early bird’ discount for any consumers that book before 1st October 2025
Good to know
Retailers can send both staff and customers to the test, and if you want to set up your own tent on the test site too you are welcome to. The average cost is roughly £1300 PP (based on 2 sharing) which includes food, all activities, transfers (essentially everything except flights). The Ski Exchange is being downgraded as a ‘retail’ partner to be on the same level as all other retailers. The socials are all branded as GB Ski Test with no link to Ski Exchange. Pila Ski are helping with accommodation and events, but self-booking is available too. GBST will have two staff on test all branded as GB Ski Test staff.
Dates
- The dates for next year are 8th – 14th March (test days 9-13th)
- Deadline to be included on the leaflet 30th April
- Deadline for website, Ski Club, Snow Show and other media promo is 30th April
Ski Sales
- There are no direct ski sales on the GB Ski Test by GB Ski Test Team
- Retailers may arrange a pre-order deal for a tester that is attending via them
- If a neutral tester enquires about purchasing a ski we will recommend their closest retailer geographically (GBST will have a map of where all the retail partners are based across the UK too)
Accommodation
- Pila Ski is the partner for bookings, but you can also book your own accommodation. Discounts for retailers coming out via Pila Ski
- Packages include all events planned in the evenings – if you book separately, please contact GBST so they can add you to any events
On Site
- Branded tents with staff to set up skis
- Test products for CARV, SKI MOJO and more for next season
- Retailers can bring their own branded tent free of charge
- Free refreshements
