Member federations of the International Ski Federation rejected a proposal to change the organisation's name at an Extraordinary Congress, which was held online from its headquarters in Oberhofen in Switzerland. The options were International Ski & Snowboard Federation and International Snowsport Federation. 66 of the 120 member national governing bodies supported the former in a run-off against the traditional International Ski Federation, just 2.6% shy of the 60% needed for the change to take place.
