SIGB membership terms and conditions
Full Membership
We understand that in order to qualify for membership:
- We must operate a commercially viable business in the manufacture and/or distribution of snowsports product in Great Britain and supply more than 10 retail outlets.
- We must have been involved in the Snowsport Trade for a minimum of one year.
- We must give two referees who are full members of the SIGB or, if unable to supply refer-ees, we will supply a letter detailing the background and extent of our business.
- We enclose a Direct Debit Mandate for payment of £150 annual subscription. NB Any changes to membership rates will take place at the AGM prior to the subsequent membership year.
- We agree that, if we are admitted to SIGB, we will abide by the rules of the constitution.
Provisional Membership
For companies who do not qualify for Full Membership, there is the option of a one year Provisional Membership, subject to the following terms.
- We must operate a commercially viable business in the manufacture and/or distribution of snowsports product in Great Britain.
- We are planning to enter the snowsport trade (new companies or products).
- We will supply a letter detailing the company background and business intentions.
- We enclose a Direct Debit Mandate for payment of £150 annual subscription. NB Any changes to membership rates will take place at the AGM prior to the subse-quent membership year.
- We agree that, if we are admitted to SIGB, we will abide by the rules of the constitution. Background and extent of our business.
- Provisional members will have no voting rights at AGM or EGMs and will not be listed as members.
- Provisional membership lasts for one year, after which time Full Membership should be sought.
SIGB retailer membership application
- We, the undersigned, wish to apply for Retail Membership of Snowsport Industries of Great Britain: We understand that in order to qualify for membership
- We must operate a commercially viable business in the retailing of snowsports product in Great Britain.
- We must have been involved in the Snowsport Trade for a minimum of one year.
- The company must be registered in the UK and the UK authorities must be recipients of any taxes due by the Company.
- Our Director(s) must not have a history of bankruptcy.
- The Company must participate in training programmes from suppliers in order to supply high levels of service and safe and appropriate equipment to customers.
- We agree to pay our annual subscription by direct debit (completed mandate enclosed).
- We agree that, if we are admitted to SIGB, we will abide by the rules of the constitution.
- The supply chain must be from UK suppliers or agents.
- The Company must supply reasonable methods for customers to contact them direct during working hours.
SIGB travel membership application
We, the undersigned, wish to apply for Travel Membership of Snowsport Industries of Great Britain (SIGB): We understand that in order to qualify for membership
- We must operate a commercially viable business in the retailing of snowsport travel product in Great Britain.
- We must have been involved in the Snowsport Trade for a minimum of one year.
- We must enclose a direct debit mandate for the annual subscription payment.
- We agree that, if we are admitted to SIGB, we will abide by the rules of the constitution.
