Wintersteiger started in 1953 in Obernberg, Austria and in 1963 started to produce ski production machinery for Fischer.  In 1978 they switched from ski production machines to ski service machines and in 1985 with the introduction Micro series, they became they became the world leader in ski service machinery.

Today they produce everything from basic sanders up to the large automatic machines and highly specialist racing grinders as well as storage systems, rental software, lockers, small hand tools and sterilisation system.
