MANI COOPER TAKES TOP SPOT AT FIS YOUTH CUP

GB Snowsport’s rising star Mani Cooper took the first podium finish of her career in Nordic Combined discipline at the FIS Youth Cup in Norway. The event consists of two days of 75m Ski jumping and a 3km cross-country course. Cooper was 3rd overall on the first day of racing and 2nd on the second day.

 

Press Release: Speaking after the event, Cooper said: “I was thrilled to get second place in the FIS Nordic Combined event in Norway at the weekend. It was a great experience and has really boosted my confidence for future competitions.”

 

Mani Cooper recently made history by becoming the first ever female Briton ski jumper at an Olympic Games when she competed at Lausanne 2020.

 

In cross-country, the Ski Tour 2020 started in Östersund, Sweden and GB Snowsport athlete Andrew Young got his best ever finish of 18th in the 15km classic pursuit.

 

The Ski Tour 2020 continues across five different locations between the border of Sweden and Norway with the final event on 23rd February.
