WHAT WE DO

SIGB Committee members along with the expert help of Rare Management, organise and run several events and initiatives throughout the year to aid and encourage participation in snowsports and the UK Snowsports business. Most important of these annual activities is SLIDE Tradeshow which provides a unique opportunity for UK suppliers and retailers to view, discuss and order next season’s products.

The profitability of SLIDE Tradeshow provides the finances that enable SIGB to engage in its other UK Snowsports enhancing activities:

  • An annual on snow Ski and Snowboard Test for retailers and press to aid gear review and purchasing.
  • An annual Trade Survey pulling together and processing cross brand sales information to provide a ‘health of the market’ report.
  • Design and execute UK-wide sales support initiatives such as ‘Go UK Buy UK’ to promote purchasing in the UK from UK Retailers.
  • Make charitable donations to snowsports related charities (Snowcamp, Disability Snowsport UK) to help encourage participation in snowsports.
